Jan Knibbe is the Owner of Camerata Homes, bringing more than 43 years of experience in the homebuilding industry and over two decades of leadership within the company. He has a strong background in large-scale residential development, shaped by 22 years with US Home and Lennar, where he served as Division President of Housing Operations for the Denver Division.

At Camerata Homes, he oversees overall management and sales, ensuring the company’s commitment to delivering thoughtfully designed custom homes and remodels. His work is centered on guiding clients from vision to reality through a practical, solutions-oriented approach to homebuilding.

Jan is most passionate about creating homes that provide comfort and a sense of retreat for families. He values the full creative process, from early concepts on raw land through to the completion of a finished home.

Originally from Michigan and raised in Iowa, he now lives in Colorado, where the mountain landscape and lifestyle continue to inspire him. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, traveling, and restoring antique tractors, and he places strong importance on time with his family and extended family.

Known for a strong problem-solving mindset, Jan combines experience and creativity in his approach to building. In high school, he earned second place at a county fair for a welding project made from scrap iron. If he were not in homebuilding, he would likely be a commercial fisherman.
